Hackintosh OSX on Lenovo A58 - UK

Juste a feedback to the OSX 10.8 (Moutain Lion) installation on a Lenovo computer A58 (Hackintosh).

Configuration  :

  • Lenovo A58 (7515-7QG)
    • Chipset G41/ICH7
    • Memory 4Go DDR2 667/800MHz
    • Internal sound card Realtek Audio, ALC662 chipset
    • Internal Network Marvell 8057 100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet
    • Internal video card Intel® GMAX4500 DX10
  • Add-on card
    • Firewire card with TI (Texas Instrument) chipset
    • Video card ATI Pegatron HD5670DE

To begin : Bad newd

The internal network don't work with OS X.
I use an external video card so, I don't know if the internal video card work.

BIOS

Load default BIOS
Disable internal network
Check Default video card : PGE

First

Installation

iatKos

On the another mac, burn the iatKOS on a usb disque or DVD with "disk utility")
Boot your Lenovo on the usb disque (or DVD)
Let the iatKos installation begin... Next, Next, .... and that's all.
Your have install OSX.

But the Firewire card don't work and there is no bootloader.

MultiBeast

Run MultiBeast on your new Hackintosh & check the options :
  • UserDSDT or DSDT-Free Install
  • Boot Options > GraphicEnabler=No //For my ATI video card
Rebooté your OSX.

Creat your DSDT

The Lenovo A58 mother board is not validate by the Hackintosh Community.
Good news, this motherboard as the same chipsets like Foxconn Foxconn G41MX-K (but not for the network card).

Run DSDTAutoPatcher

Select Foxconn manufacturer and the mother board G41MX-K
Apply
This program create un DSDT.aml file on your board
Copy the DSDT.aml on the /Extra directory.
Reboot your computer.

So good, the internal soundcard and the PCI FireWire card work fine.
For the Ethernet card, I suggest you to take a PCI ou PCI-E card OS X full compatibility.

It's necessary to make the OSX update to settle the suspend mode crash.
